Healthy Diet

Most of us know that the food we eat, affects our appearance, especially the health of our skin. Hence, it is important to have a healthy, balanced diet to eliminate wrinkles and make it look fresh and young.
One should include in a diet lots of fruits and vegetables which are a rich source of essential vitamins and minerals. Green leafy vegetables, beans and berries like strawberries, goji berries, blueberries etc..contain antioxidants that help fight the free radicals that cause premature aging and thus aid in doing away with them.

Facial Exercises

In case of wrinkles on forehead, under the eyes and other facial areas, these exercises are sure to help you. They help in firming the skin and the muscles, eliminating wrinkles totally.
If you have wrinkles on the neck, try the exercise where you touch the tip of your tongue to the back of your mouth. Homemade Anti-wrinkle Cream

Most anti-wrinkle face creams available in the market are expensive. So it will be great if you could make your own.
  • Glycerin
  • Alum
  • Spirits of camphor
  • Gelatin
  • Tincture of benzoin
  • Anhydrous lanolin
  • Orange flower water
  • Take 2 tsp of orange flower water in a small bowl and add ¼ tsp of alum in it.
  • When the alum dissolves in water, put in 3 tsp of gelatin and let it remain in water till it becomes soft.
  • Combine ¼ cup of glycerin to this solution.
  • Transfer the mixture into a double boiler and cook on low heat till the gelatin dissolves.
  • Mix 1 cup of lanolin, ¼ tsp tincture and ¼ tsp camphor spirit. Blend all the ingredients. Now take it off from the flame.
  • With an electric mixer, beat the mixture till it becomes fluffy.
  • Store it in an airtight container and use it every night for 5-10 minutes.

Face Pack

There are several face packs that you can make at home to eliminate wrinkles. Here is a process for one of them:
  •  Mix 1 tsp of orange juice and a spoon of raspberry juice in a bowl.
  • Add 1 tsp olive oil, 2 tbsp ground oatmeal with whipped egg yolks.
  • Mix well and apply on the entire face.
  • Allow it to rest on the face for twenty minutes and when it becomes dry, rinse with warm water.
  • Applying egg whites too on the skin, especially under the eyes, makes it supple.
Apart from these natural remedies, there are certain precautions to be taken to cure and avoid wrinkles. To use sunscreen every time you go out is a necessity, even if it is cloudy. People who have a habit of smoking, should try and quit smoking. Also, drinking lots of water daily helps to keep the skin hydrated. This will avoid ugly creases on your face.
