For Oily Skin
Oily skin loses the essential moisture content as much as the dry skin and hence needs moisturizing. Sorbitol that is found in grapes and berries acts as a great moisturizing agent for this skin type. Applying the pulp of these fruits to the skin helps in replenishing it with moisture, without leaving a greasy film.
Jojoba oil is also a great option which keeps your skin hydrated for several hours due to its deeper penetration. Olive oil can be used during nighttime. Aloe vera-based moisturizers are best for oily skin, as they hydrate it without adding excess oil.
For Acne-prone Skin
People with acne problems are wary of applying moisturizers to their face for the fear of aggravating the problem. However, some natural moisturizers have the property of moisturizing your skin and reducing the acne at the same time. Honey is a great example of this kind. It has antibacterial properties which kill the bacteria present in the acne, thereby reducing its size.
Simply apply a spoonful of honey to your face like a face mask and rinse it off after an hour or so. You can also use the pulp of ripe fruits like banana and papaya for moisturizing. The nutrients in these fruits help in nourishing your skin and make it look youthful. Another effective option is using steam.
You can use natural moisturizers in combination with the other natural skin care products. If you wish to opt for the commercial ones, products with natural or organic ingredients can prove to be the safest choice for your skin.
