The month of May has been designated healthy skin month. And BeautiSecrets is going to focus a series of articles on how to make your skin glow. Try these 10 tips for healthy skin. And keep it that way!
Would you like beautiful skin? You need the right TLC to give your skin the renewed glow of beauty and health.
#1 Use the right products.
Flawless skin shouldn’t be the result of applying makeup like concealers and foundation! But when you use these skincare products be certain that they are best for your individual skin. It’s important to only use skincare and makeup products that are right for you. Use sample products and small amounts to test. And to make sure it’s right for your skin.
#2 Avoid touching your face.
It’s not just about healthy skin. Stop touching your face because that’s how bacteria and germs are transferred from your hands to your face. In addition to spreading diseases like coronavirus and the flu the hand-to-face connection causes acne and skin irritation.
Do not pick at pimples and blackheads with your fingernails or fingertips. And don’t scrub or pull at the skin around the eyes.
And one last hint- don’t sleep in your make-up. When left on too long make-up damages the pores of your skin and can cause it to break out.
#3 Stick to a daily CTM routine.
Following a daily cleansing, toning and moisturizing routine will assure you have healthy skin that glows. This routine will make a big difference in how your skin feels and how it looks.
Wash your hands with soap before you start your routine. Don’t risk transferring germs and dirt from your hands to your face. And after you wash your hands, don’t rub them dry. Allow it to air dry.
Layer on products in the right order. If you are using acne medications or skin treatments make them a part of the routine.
Begin with using a cleanser. Then apply medicines and treatment serums. The last step is moisturizer.
#4 Minimize the use of chemicals on the face.
Many face wipes and soaps are filled with harmful chemicals. They can affect the pH level of skin. Chemicals also pull the healthy oils out of your skin and dry it out.
Use natural soaps. Get a gentle or natural face wash that doesn’t damage when it cleans.
Note: Hot water also dries out your skin. And closes the pores in your skin. Make sure the water is cool or lukewarm.
Skin is often sensitive. Too much of even a mild cleanser can cause a break out or a drying of your skin. Any time your skin is breaking out use a milder product.
#5 Lifestyle habits make the skin glow.
Genetics and the local environment play a part in how your skin looks. But healthy lifestyle habits are vital. For glowing, youthful skin, eat healthy, hydrate, exercise, and get enough sleep.
