Though one would come across many remedies, the chances of getting hundred percent results would depend upon the type and size of the pimples. While the tiny ones that are just developing might get cured with these remedies, in case of severe acne, it would be best to consult a dermatologist.

Some Remedies

Lemon Juice
Apply lemon juice directly over the affected skin and let it dry. Wash off after it dries. Do this at least thrice a day. If you have a sensitive skin, you can add a few drops of rose water to the lemon juice and apply it over the affected area with a cotton ball.

Garlic
Garlic is known to be effective in curing skin infections. Crush a few cloves of garlic and apply it over the pimple. Wash off with cold water after it dries thoroughly. This remedy is believed to give fast results.

Egg White
Egg white helps dry up the zits and reduce swelling. You can apply egg white over the affected area, leave it for half an hour and see the results. Do this 2-3 times a day and before going to bed. You can continue its use until the skin clears.

Toothpaste
Toothpaste is known to get rid of zits, though it might or might not show fast results in your case, but one can surely try it. You must apply toothpaste before going to bed on the affected area. Wash it off next morning to see the results. Remember not to use a gel-type toothpaste.

Honey
Take 3 tbsp. of honey and 1 tbsp. cinnamon, mix well and apply this paste over your face thoroughly. You can leave it for 3-5 minutes and then start scrubbing. This is believed to be an excellent exfoliating scrub. You can also apply it over your skin and leave it overnight as a face pack. Wash off in the morning.

Ice Pack
You can have crushed ice packed in an aluminum foil. Place this in a zip lock bag. Now, wrap a thin towel over this bag and place it over the affected area. Slightly press it over the pimple for ten minutes. Now, apply a medicated cleansing cream or antiseptic to clean the dirt around. After 3-4 hours again apply the ice pack and follow the same procedure. This would reduce the swelling and redness.

You can also use an antibacterial soap to clean the skin. Pat dry your skin, and then apply a topical cream containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Follow this regime for a few days.

Before you try the various remedies, make sure to clean the skin with a medicated cleanser or an antiseptic lotion. Following the aforementioned remedies might prove beneficial. You should also remember to continue your basic skin care regime. Do not wait till the pimple becomes large. Keeping your skin clean is the key to avoid the formation of this skin condition.
