All a girl wishes for, is a beautiful pout. Not only does it look sensual, but it’s a great feature to highlight if done correctly. Let’s take a look at how you can do just that, with the following lip plumper recipes.
For women who already have plump lips, drawing focus to it by using a plumping recipe, will only take away attention from the rest of your face. Those with medium-sized pouts or thin lips, will largely benefit from using one of the following recipes. While the effects aren’t exactly long-lasting, using these lip balms every day, will give it an instant, dramatic pout, especially for those with medium-sized lips. If you have thin lips, apply a lip plumper over a light-colored lipstick like coral or peach; stay clear from rich plum colors, since it’ll make lips appear thinner than they already are.
Homemade Lip Plumper Recipes
Recipe #1
You’ll Need:
- 1 tsp. of petroleum jelly
- ½ a tsp. of beeswax
- A pinch of ground (powdered) ginger
- 2 drops of peppermint extract
- 2 tsp. of red pepper
Preparation:
Buy a small, empty container that you can store the lip balm in; these are available in select stores, or better yet, online. Start by mixing the petroleum jelly and beeswax in a plastic bowl. Add the ground ginger and red pepper to the mixture, followed by the peppermint extract. Once the ingredients have been mixed well, transfer the mixture to the lip balm container, before placing it in the refrigerator (not freezer). Make a little at a time so that it’s fresh every time you apply it; be sure to finish the product within 10 days.
Recipe #2
You’ll Need:
- 1 tbsp. of cinnamon leaf essential oil
- 1 tbsp. of jojoba oil (you can olive or coconut oil, if you’d like)
- 1 tbsp. of water
- 1 tsp. of beeswax
Preparation:
All you have to do, is mix the ingredients together in a small bowl, before transferring its contents to the lip balm container. Refrigerate the mix for at least 30 minutes before using it.
Recipe #3
You’ll Need:
- 6 tsp. of olive oil
- 6 drops of cinnamon oil
- 2 vitamin E capsules
Preparation:
While the mixture plumps lips within a few minutes, it also offers lasting hydration because of the vitamin E capsules. In a small bowl, break the vitamin E capsules and extract its contents, before adding the olive and cinnamon oil. You can add two drops of red food coloring for a stain effect. Once mixed, transfer the bowl’s contents to the lip balm container, and use it whenever you’d like. Use a little at a time to avoid leaving your lips overly slick from the oil.
Lip plumping tips should help give you an envious pout that doesn’t need to beg for attention. Be sure to use the concoctions sparingly, after applying a matte-finish lipstick underneath for a pop of color and additional plumpness.
