Leave the application till it dries. It will take about 15-20 minutes. Rinse it with lukewarm water. This remedy is also known to reduce the facial hair if used for a long period.

Skin allergies can also be cured with sandalwood essential oil for acne. For this you will need, 1 tbsp of sandalwood oil and 1 tbsp of turmeric. Add 1 tbsp of lime juice to the aforementioned ingredients and stir it all together. Apply the mixture to the affected area and leave it on for 15-20. Rinse with lukewarm water and then pat dry.

The best ways to use sandalwood essential oils to improve health, is to massage it on the skin. It cools the skin and soothes the irritations. Avoid using just the sandalwood essential oil, as the smell will be too strong. Dilute it with odorless massage oil or just add drops of sandalwood essential oil to your regular massage oil.
Other than for acne, the same oil can be used for other topical purposes too. You can remove sun tan by mixing 5 tbsp of coconut oil, 2 tbsp of almond oil, and 4 tbsp of sandalwood oil.
